The best point for this Plasma 50 HDTV is :

The 100,000-hour lifespan of Plasma 50 HDTV.

This feature was a major selling point for me because I wanted a Plasma due to LCD’s poor dark color reproduction but was worried about the shorter lifespan of most Plasma’s which is typically only 30,000 to 70,000 hours. However, this baby specs out at 100,000, which is equal to 8 hours per day for over 34 years. Unheard of for Plasma displays until the 800 series arrived in April.

The 24p of Panasonic Plasma 50 HDTV
What is 24p? In a nutshell 24p is the frame rate in which images are displayed on your panasonic plasma 50 hdtv or Computer screens. A 24p capable system can display video at 24 frames per second rather than succumbing to display a converted video signal at 30 frames per second.

THX Certification Brings Perfect Colors for Plasma 50 HDTV

THX is a standard and only a standard. Moreover, it refers strictly to color accuracy, which is just one of the many things that make up great quality. You see, obtaining a superb picture from a HDTV is a matter of getting many factors to work together in harmony. Color accuracy is just not enough by itself. Black levels, contrast, brightness, environment and even your very own eyes, are factors that determine the overall quality of the picture. That being said, a HDTV that complies with the THX standard is one that has the color factor covered up. Being THX certified means colors close to perfect and that is the reason THX certification is a benefit.

Conclusion
The 800 series of Panasonic Plasma 50 HDTV displays are the perfect solution for consumers looking to add a long-term home theater display to their arsenal. The set is ready for features that have potential to become more of an HD standard in the years to come. The product line is truly future proof and ready to adjust to the rapidly evolving HD industry.

Advanced pixel resolution and image-processing technology with the plasma TV’s natural ability to beautifully reproduce fast moving images, so every detail is rendered with amazing clarity, and all the action is delivered with a high degree of fluidity.

Amazing color reproduction
The incredible black reproduction of a Panasonic High-Definition Plasma TV results in impressive contrast and beautiful, natural colors. So you’ll get warm, accurate skin tones, gorgeous greens, breathtaking blues and vivid reds. For color that’s as rich and bold as life itself, look to a Panasonic Plasma TV.

Consistent brightness from any angle
A Panasonic Plasma combines anti-glare and anti-reflection technology with the natural light-emitting properties of plasma, to give you a super-wide viewing range with a crisp, beautiful image from almost any angle.

1,000,000:1 Contrast
The Panasonic’s Real Black system (a pre-discharge suppression system) and improved panel production processes combine to reproduce outstanding blacks with superb contrast. Each image is richly expressive, from bright scense, like scorching desert landscapes, to dark cave scenes. Compare the image produced by conventional HDTV on the left to the Real Black image produced on the right

More Colors
Viera HDTVs support the xvYCC color profile (Extended YCC Colorimetry for Video Applications), or “x.v. color” for short. Standard RGB color space allows the display of a portion of the colors that are viewable to the human eye. The next generation “xvYCC” color space actually offers an available range of colors that exceeds what human eyes can recognize.

Next-generation “xvYCC” color space supports 1.8 times as many colors as existing HDTV signals

Deep Color
Where x.v. color expands the available range of colors your HDTV can display, Deep Color increases the number of colors your HDTV can display within that range, for smoother transitions from color to color.

• Can represent many times more shades of gray between black and white.

Long Life
Panasonic plasma panels are rated to last 100,000 hours, which is about 30 years of regular or 11 years of non-stop usage before the brightness of the display is halved.

Get Full HD with Blu-Ray Disc Players
A Panasonic 1080p plasma television is able to render 1920×1080 pixels, but standard DVDs have a resolution of just 720×480. Blu-ray discs output true 1080p High-Definition resolution and have a storage capacity ten times greater than standard DVDs, so no pixel gos to waste.

Lifespan for Television 42 HDTV Plasma

42 inch hdtv

Plasma televisions provide a large flat screen tv like television 42 HDTV plasma and up for considerably less than a comparable size LCD. Knowing this, we see that even if television manufacturers are exaggerating the average lifespan of their plasma models, these units are still a better value than an LCD. Obviously, a first generation plasma television presents concerns for owners. They must more actively monitor the health of their screens. However, looking at the newer model plasmas and the future of the technology, it must be conceded that a television 42 HDTV plasma’s lifespan is long enough for any average user.

A good tip for television 42 HDTV Plasma users is to watch as many shows as possible in widescreen format. This helps prevent a quality difference from developing between the inner pixels and the outer ones that would be neglected when sidebars appear. Also, keep brightness levels as low as possible. If you have your television 42 HDTV plasma in a bright room, you don’t need to keep the brightness at 100%. Reducing this takes some of the strain off of the pixels and phosphors and helps lengthen lifespan. One last tip to increase the life of your television 42 HDTV plasma is to keep it in a cool, well-ventilated location. A cool atmosphere reduces the amount of work done by the internal cooling components and helps the phosphors work longer.

The lifespan of a television 42 HDTV Plasma, contrary to rumor, is great. Also, the technology is ever advancing to produce better televisions that will last even longer. Most manufacturers will give an approximate lifespan of 60,000 hours for their television 42 HDTV plasma.

The figure of 60,000 hours longevity will differ from brand to brand so keep in mind that some are superior to others. Here are some important tips in keeping your television 42 HDTV plasma working in tip-top order for many years : keep it in a well ventilated area, do not leave static images on the screen for longer than 8-10 minutes, avoid watching in very brightly lit rooms; in other words, television 42 HDTV plasma perform better in normal lit and dimly lit areas.

Thinking about getting a Panasonic TV 1080p plasma ? If so, you’ve come to the right place because I have some important and detailed information to share with you.

The Panasonic TV 1080p plasma series is one of the most popular lines of plasma tvs flat on the market today. They come with increased contrast ratios for deep blacks and appealing shadow detail. In addition these Panasonic TV 1080p plasma models offer a smooth picture and vivid colors that will appeal to movie lovers, sports fans and HDTV viewers alike.

If you are in the market for a new plasma then you have probably looked at several models and may very well be confused by all of the different makes and models. I will try to break down the basic differences between models in the Panasonic TV 1080p plasma Viera series.

Lets take a look at the model numbers. A typical Panasonic TV Viera plasma model is TH-xxPZ80U. There are several things to look at in order to understand the model number.

1. TH-xxPZ80U - The xx will represent the size of the TV (for example 50PZ80U will be a 50″ model). Sizes range from as small as 42 inches and go up to 65 inches in the top of the line model.

2. TH-xxPZ80U - The PZ indicates that this is a 1080p model. Panasonic TV does also offer a 720p model, but that would be indicated by a PX.

3. TH-xxPZ80U - This is where it starts to get even a bit more confusing. These indicate the individual attributes and feature sets of each model with a good 80U, better 85U, even better 800U, and best (at least until they come up with an even better model) 850U.

After talking about basic specification, let’s we know about 3 major aspect :

Picture Quality

Many Panasonic TV 1080p plasma owners were pleased with the picture quality, including the accuracy and richness of the colors, brightness, contrast and clarity. In addition, they had no complaints with how well the TVs render black color. They were impressed with how their TVs displayed high definitions, many were less than impressed with how they displayed standard definition. Standard definition was not described as bad by owners who complained; it just was not as good of a picture as they wanted.

Ease of Use, Sound and Appearance

Panasonic TV 1080p plasma owners generally found the TV easy to set up and use. Some owners would like a better designed remote control, however. When it came to the sound quality of the built-in speakers, the clear majority of owners were happy. In regard to the appearance of the TV, that is, how it looks as a piece of furniture, Panasonic TV 1080p plasma owners almost unanimously had praise.

Quality

What about the quality and durability of the Panasonic TV plasma ? Problems and defects were reported, such as issues with the power supply and unwanted noise, but complaints about quality were not common overall. The majority of Panasonic TV 1080p plasma owners who had contact with Panasonic’s customer service were satisfied.

Hopefully that gives a bit of clarity to the Panasonic TV 1080p plasma Viera series. There is sure to be a size and feature set that suits a wide range of budgets. So if you are looking at a new TV for the holiday season or for the digital changeover, a Panasonic TV may be the right choice for you.
