LG Plasma 60

LG is one of the leading companies in the electronics, the THX-certified. As a benchmark in the industry with the quality of the video image, screen THX certified, an HD-TV for an excellent image quality, more immersive film, and the proliferation of video game experience in the living room. Sample HDTV programs in full 1920 x 1080 resolution for an image closer. It combines two LG XD engine exclusive to maximizing picture quality for any type of video content. By combining processors XD engine, the group of performance has been optimized to produce the highest quality, the images more realistic.

The new screen is visible from LG plasma 60 TV 60PG60 and review, with the best design for all HDTV each year. LG plasma 60 TV is fronted by a large glass window behind the screen that appears, and a black border around it. At the bottom of the screen is a simple rear-corner strip horizontally Typing by the yellow of the Arc of food on the left. The decline in other metals to the glimmer of hope on the horizon in the tower, and the soil is a form of self-Arc in the mirror of the power to change. Of the state, 60-inch plasma size of 57.3 cm and 38.8 cm high and 16.3 cm deep and weighs 137.5 pounds. Remove the walls of destination (You need a wall) and the panel itself, 57.3 cm wide and 36.4 cm in height and 3.3 cm deep and weighs 121 pounds.

The design, the slick appearance, makes it nice part of the room. Despite its huge screen it doesn’t look heavy. The invisible speakers produce very nice sound, the ability to play music and photos from USB port is amazing.

The color settings were fine, but it’s more fine to option for one of those calibration disks since the LG plasma 60 TV includes two custom expert settings. The THX mode is kind of a mixed bag, it looks cool on some movies but not so good on others. Specifically, it looked great on Blu-ray “Night in the Museum,” but kind of crappy on DVD The Matrix.
The standard setting looked great and the invisible speakers worked fine. It has evidently been designed to use the full range of its volume capabilities. The main downside, it maybe that you will likely be adjusting this set’s volume more frequently than others due to environment and it would be nice to have some presets to save a bit of time as the volume increments or decrements. A minor quibble since it really doesn’t take much time.

Enter the next generation of Kuro Pioneer plasma 50 television, where an image is worth more than a thousand words. Pioneer plasma 50 television has two different categories of pioneer plasma 50″ TV, PDP models and models Elite Pro, with the Elite Pro models market. The models entering the 50″ Pioneer plasma 50 television model class are: PDP-4340HD , PDP-5040HD, PDP-433CMX, PDP-503CMX, Elite PRO-910HD, and Elite Pro-1110HD.

Models with HD (High Definition) abbreviation at the end of your consumers are models that come with all the bells and whistles. Models with the abbreviation CMX models are your professional broadcasting being made to use as computer and display devices, they do not come with speakers, the media receiver outboard and many other features.

Aesthetics

The image quality and sharpness of the plasma display is the same in PDP and Elite Pro pioneer. The main differences in the aesthetic characteristics, is the composition of the pioneer plasma 50 television on the screen. The features on the PDP model is a 2-inch black border with silver non-hunting speakers 2 channels, which do not correspond to the height of plasma (ie he does not the same height as plasma). The features on the Elite Pro model are of better quality with a brushed silver with black border flushing loudspeaker 3-way which joins the height of the plasma.

Loudspeakers

Both the DPP and Elite Pro models come with side mount speakers, but they are not created the same. The PDP model as speakers are 2-way speakers with a tweeter and mid / speaker driver. The model Elite Pro speakers come from speakers with a 3-way tweeter, environment and loudspeaker driver separate driver. The speakers are also better and produce a much better sound.

Other features and comparisons

In terms of PDP models to the Elite Pro models, the Elite Pro models come with the following additional functions:

l Pure Vision Color Management: enables users to customize the colors of their pioneer plasma television with more advanced features that PDP models, giving better control the quality of the image Elite Pro can produce models.

l Pure Color Filter: The Elite Pro models come with a filter packaging outside the pioneer plasma 50 television screen that eliminates glare and produced more clear that the PDP models.

l Gold Terminals: The Elite Pro models terminals with gold on the back of pioneer plasma 50 television as opposed to the standard terminals PDP models. This means that the signal quality and being out of the Elite Pro is better than the PDP models.

l These are the basic characteristics and comparisons of the Pioneer plasma 50 television models. The PDP and Elite Pro models are among the highest quality and prestige of Pioneer plasma TV market. Whatever the type of Pioneer plasma 50 television you choose, you know you will be able to get a plasma high-quality stands above many plasma competitor in the market.

By M. Cobb
I spent a few months reviewing plasmas and lcd’s both in the big box stores and online. I watch a lot of sports, and the lcd’s still have the motion blurring problem (except the expensive new ones). For me, that narrowed it down to the plasmas. Like others have said, the Panasonic’s stood out from the rest of the plasma’s (except for Pioneers, but they are almost double the cost). In terms of 1080 and 720 plasmas, I could not tell a difference between the two in 42″. Maybe a little in the larger sets, but not in this size. Not worth the extra cost IMHO. So, I finally took the plunge on Panasonic’s 720 42″ when the price dropped below $1000, no tax, free shipping. A great deal for a TV that has been on the market for less than 2 months.

Delivery on the TV was fast (about 5 days early). They called a day ahead and delivered it within 1/2 hour of their estimated arrival. They made sure that the TV worked, and offered to take away all the packaging material. A+.

The TV was a snap to set up-10 minutes. The first thing that I noticed was that the color contrast is excellent, even on SD- much better then our 6-year-old Toshiba 27″ tube TV. The clarity varies by station- a function of the channels, not the TV. SD = A-

The picture quality really excels while playing DVDs through component video. Deep rich blacks, vivid colors. The “Planet Earth” series looks incredible. We have not hooked it up to HD yet, but I’m sure it will be even better. A+.

A nice feature is that the TV remembers your settings for each video input. I.e.-we programmed a different color contrast for broadcast TV and DVDs and it stores each separately. There are more than enough ways to adjust picture quality to really fine tune it.

The audio is better than other sets, but not great. We don’t use it though, since the TV is hooked up through a 5.1 receiver.

Overall, I am very happy with my purchase, both the TV and Amazon’s delivery service. Definitely would buy it again.

FOLLOW UP: I just got HD, and it is even better than I could have imagined. I don’t even like NBA basketball, but I found myself glued to the playoff game just to see the clarity. UFC was almost TOO clear for comfort. The only problem- I can’t go back to SD now.

Okay, this would easily be a five star review if not for two things, but related to Samsung. First, the samsung LCD TV, anyone that goes to HH Gregg, Fry’s or Best Buy and see’s the 120 Hz picture on a samsung realizes that the picture doesn’t look like a movie, it looks like a documentary or re-enactment of the movie (incredible) the Toshiba’s picture is incredible, fluid, smooth, real color…but not that samsung picture, upsetting but I can live with it, the picture is really amazing. Strike two, and the big one! My Samsung home theatre in a box system ht-x75, long story short, the system didn’t pass through, and the TV would not recognize my blue ray player when I hooked it through the Audio system. As much as I love this TV, that did it for me, it’s going back…now if you have a regualar receiver, you should be fine, and you will love this television, but in my case, I have to take the one star off cause it did not meet my standards.

By Footnote
I needed a flatscreen to go above my fireplace in a fairly sunny room. It also had to be 120Hz as I watch a lot of sport. I can say that this TV is really incredible, especially when you consider the price. I read “techie” reviews at AVSforum and was impressed. Hockey seems to benefit the most from 120Hz with the fast player movement, fast camera panning, and tiny puck. Turning 120Hz (clearframe) off really makes you realize the difference. The colors are great, bright without being too unrealistic. The sound is good enough. I recommend turning the bass boost to medium to reduce some occasional distortion. Although it has a glossy frame, its thin, so isn’t too distracting. The IR passthrough feature is great - I have the TV above the fireplace, and the A/V components off to the side out of view. The only negative thing I’ve found so far is the time it takes the TV to readjust after changing channels (using an HD satellite box…it takes a couple of seconds to change channels). However, I am not sure if this is the TV’s fault or the satellite receiver. I’ve had the TV for several months and am still impressed every time I turn it on.

By Todd A. Horneck “TH”
I’ve wanted an HDTV for a long time. Ever since I set my eyes on the crisp picture and vibrant color that high definition had to offer I was determined to have one. So after years of waiting and saving I finally decided I was going to take the plunge. I took the time to do my research and after a month or so of comparing reviews and staring aimlessly at in store floor models I decided that the Sharp Aquos 46 inch LCD HDTV was exactly what I was looking for. After all, it was a quality product that got great reviews at a comparable price, how could I possibly go wrong?

After I bought my television I took it home and carefully unpacked it, plugged it, turned it on and basked in all the glory that Sharp had to offer. For a short time, the relationship was a good one. I came home and it dazzled me with a crisp fluid picture, superior sound, and a full 1080p resolution, I was in love. A whole new world was at my finger tips, Dirty Jobs never looked so dirty, I was totally smitten. Then suddenly without notice, everything changed.

The screen went black and the sound went off. This happened in 20 to 25 minute intervals. Frustrated, I did what every good consumer would do, I called customer support. Naturally they walked me through all the obvious troubleshooting steps, is the TV on? Is the power chord plugged in? Is the sleep timer on? No, no and no. Twenty five wasted Verizon minutes later they decided they were going to send out a tv repair man to resolve the issue. Keep in mind, at this point I’d owned the TV for one month. The repairman determined (on the phone) the problem was the circuit board. How can you determine the solution to a problem without physically diagnosing it? Initially, after the parts were replaced everything went smoothly. The TV, by all accounts, was running full steam…at least for a little while.

Within three days, the screen went black and the sound went off…again. I sat on my couch perplexed, how could Sharp put out such a subpar product? What ever happened to the customers always right? After all I owned the product for little over a month, don’t I deserve a new television? I guess not. Suffice to say I’m not happy. Tomorrow I’ll call Sharp again, and most likely they’ll be sending out ANOTHER repairman to not fix my television. So if I could give you one piece of advice it’s this, save your money and by a Sony.
